My Story
Hello, my name is Isabelle, my sister Sylvie and I are the founders of the Boguena Foundation. Our journey began in Chad, a country known for its resilience and rich culture despite facing numerous challenges. Growing up in Chad, I have seen firsthand the struggles many face, from limited access to clean water and health care to the lack of educational opportunities and food security. These experiences instilled in me a deep desire to give back to the community that shaped me.

After moving to Salt Lake City, Utah, I pursued my education and built a life in a new environment. Yet, my heart remained connected to Chad, and we were determined to make a difference. Five years ago, we started working with local communities in Chad, focusing on improving access to essential resources and services for a better future. These initial efforts were both challenging and rewarding, as we collaborated with local leaders and organizations to understand their needs and find sustainable solutions.

Despite the progress made, we realized that more structured and comprehensive support was needed to address the ongoing issues. This realization led to the founding of The Boguena Foundation.

Though we have only just begun, our commitment to making a meaningful impact is unwavering. By working together with local communities and supporters like you, we aim to build a brighter future for Chad, one where everyone has the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
